Michael McDaniel, 39, was held at the Toledo Correctional Institution in Toledo, Ohio. Prison staff found him unresponsive in his cell around 8:30 p.m. on May 20, 2025. He was taken to a hospital, where he died around 7 a.m. the following morning. Prison officials said the cause of death is pending.
