Michael Lorenzo Jones
Michael Lorenzo Jones, 43, died at McCormick Correctional Institution in South Carolina in September 2016, after another person held there stabbed him several times in a dormitory. The attack was captured on video, according to the solicitor's office, which said the stab wounds to his back were fatal. The man who stabbed him pleaded guilty to murder in January 2018 and was sentenced to an additional 30 years. Records compiled by Incarceration Transparency date his death to September 26, 2016, while the court and the solicitor's office give September 25, 2016.
