Michael Lavon Barfield Jr.
Michael Lavon Barfield Jr., 37, was held at the Duval County Jail in Jacksonville, Florida, in September 2025. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said he was taken to a local hospital on September 7 after complaining of an existing health condition, and that he died there about two weeks after being admitted. The sheriff's office is investigating the death with the District IV Medical Examiner's Office, and the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
