Died in jail or a lockup
Michael J. Savage
Michael J. Savage, 54, of Sturgeon Bay, died at the Door County Jail in February 2022. Deputies found him unresponsive with no pulse and not breathing on Feb. 10, and responding paramedics and officers were unable to revive him, according to the Door County Sheriff's Office. An autopsy was performed by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office, but the results and toxicology were still pending at the time of reporting. The Brown County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death.
