Michael Hall
Michael Hall was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail in Virginia when he was found hanging in his cell on the night of October 10, 2022, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital that night. Jail Superintendent Kevin Hudson confirmed the death as a suicide by hanging. His father, Hugh Hall, described him as a good person who had fallen in with the wrong people, and said Michael had shown no known suicidal thoughts before entering the jail. The family says he repeated asked for help in the weeks before his death and disputes that the jail did enough to prevent it. Officials say the jail followed its policies, and internal and sheriff's office investigations were opened.
