Michael Gene Knight, 47, died on January 1, 2025, while held at the North Richland Hills city jail in Texas. The North Richland Hills Police Department said he was taken to Medical City North Hills, where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause and manner of death. The department's Criminal Investigations Division and Professional Standards Division are investigating the death.
