Michael Est, 45, died on July 31, 2026, at an MU Health Care location in Columbia, Missouri. At the time he was held at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center, a Missouri Department of Corrections facility. The Department said in a news release that an autopsy would be performed, and no cause or manner of death has been stated publicly.
