Michael Epperson
Michael Epperson, 60, died at Salem Hospital on June 21, 2019, after being held at the Oregon State Penitentiary since April of that year. Betty Bernt, a corrections department spokeswoman, said the department did not yet know the circumstances of his death. Oregon State Police are investigating, and the department said it cannot release cause-of-death records, citing state law on medical information.
