Michael Dixon

Michael Dixon, 69, died on June 20, 2023 while held at the Stiles Unit, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Beaumont. The Texas Tribune reports that he was found unresponsive in his cell that day, when the temperature felt about 108 degrees. TDCJ said he died of cardiac arrest. The Texas Standard account says the cause of death was not stated in its reporting.
