Michael Brandon Rivers, 43, died on September 9, 2024, while held in pretrial custody at the Atlanta City Detention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, a detention officer found him unresponsive during a security round. The sheriff's office said it is investigating, and the Atlanta Police Department and the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office are conducting a death investigation and autopsy.
