Michael Bozeman
Michael Bozeman was a 47-year-old Army veteran, and his mother, Ruby Bozeman, remembers a good son who loved his family, worked hard, and never got into trouble. In January 2025, his family called law enforcement for help while he was in a mental health crisis, and instead he was arrested and taken to the Russell County Jail, where he died shortly afterward. Nearly two months later his family was still waiting for autopsy and lab results to tell them how he died. Their attorney said he did not drink or use drugs, and the sheriff promised the family full cooperation.
