Michael Anastasio
Michael Anastasio, 44, died on April 8, 2019, while held at Saginaw Correctional Facility in Tittabawassee Township, Michigan. The Michigan Department of Corrections, through spokesperson Chris Gautz, said he was attacked by his cellmate and suffered blunt force trauma. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. State Police are investigating, and the cellmate has been moved to a prison on the west side of the state; the suspect has not been named.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The Michigan Department of Corrections says his cellmate attacked him, and State Police are investigating the death.
