Micah Laureano
Micah Laureano, 19, died on August 27, 2024, while held at Green Bay Correctional Institution, a state prison in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A criminal complaint says his cellmate tied his hands and feet and strangled him in the cell they shared, leaving him hanging from the top bunk. The complaint says the cellmate told a guard and investigators that he targeted Laureano because of his race and sexual orientation. The case was prosecuted as a homicide.
