Died in prison
Micah Boland
Micah Boland, 37, was killed in February 2014 while held at Maine State Prison. A Knox County Superior Court affidavit says another man held at the prison stabbed him repeatedly with a homemade knife. That man, Richard Stahursky, pleaded guilty to murder as jury selection began in November 2015. Stahursky said he attacked Boland over a dispute about a former job and did not intend to kill him.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. A Knox County Superior Court affidavit says fellow prisoner Richard Stahursky stabbed Boland 87 times with a homemade knife, and Stahursky pleaded guilty to murder.
