Melvin Towns
Melvin Towns, 37, died in April 2024 at Valdosta State Prison, where he was held. A prison incident report and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution say he was stabbed to death with a homemade weapon. His uncle, Darrell Stone, said the family has many unanswered questions and feels it has received few answers. The family buried him.
