Melvin Goodwin
Melvin Goodwin, 34, died at the Milwaukee County Jail in Milwaukee on September 12, 2025. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said staff found him unconscious and unresponsive in his cell during meal service. He was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m. The medical examiner has not determined the cause of death, and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office is investigating because the sheriff's office cannot investigate its own jail under Wisconsin law.
