Died in prison
Melton Spencer
Melton Spencer, 28, of Belleview in Iron County, died on October 10, 2022, while held at the prison in Bonne Terre, according to a Missouri Department of Corrections news release. He had been in custody since March of that year. Another report said he was one of three young men who died at the facility within seven days. The department said autopsies would be conducted to determine how he died, and the cause and manner remain pending.
