Medbury
A Little Rock dispatch reported that a mob broke into the jail at Warren, Arkansas, on January 20, 1887, took Medbury from it, and lynched him. The same account said the mob also killed a man named Hamilton. Early reports had said the two men were taken away by friends, but later news contradicted that account.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A Little Rock dispatch in the Gazette reports that a mob took Medbury from the Warren, Arkansas jail and lynched him.
