McGuire
McGuire was one of four men held at the jail in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in October 1860. According to a report in the Nashville Union and American, published October 18, 1860, a group took the four men from the jail overnight. McGuire was found hanged from a tree the next morning. The report said the other three were expected to meet the same fate, though their bodies had not been found.
