Max J. Knoten
Max J. Knoten, 46, died on February 15, 2024, while held at Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville, South Carolina. The South Carolina Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his cell, which he did not share with anyone. The department said it is investigating the death as a suspected suicide, but the manner and cause have not been determined, and an autopsy was scheduled.
