Mauricio Garcia
Mauricio Garcia was held at North Texas State Hospital in Wichita Falls. According to an arrest affidavit, another patient attacked him in a day room that was not monitored in November 2022, leaving him unconscious with head injuries. He was taken to a hospital for surgery and died on November 30, 2022. An autopsy listed blunt force injuries as the cause of death and homicide as the manner, and another patient has been charged with murder.
