Maurice Small
Maurice Small died on April 29, 2023, while held at the Chatham County Detention Center in Savannah, Georgia. According to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, officers found him unresponsive in his cell during a shift change, and he was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office described the cell checks made that morning. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death, and the cause and manner have not been determined.
