Matthew Walker

Matthew Walker, 29, was in Louisiana custody when he died on October 2, 2022. The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office said he had been at a work release program at Jett's in Jackson, and that deputies found a body in a cemetery in Jackson that day and believed it was his. The sheriff's office said the manner of death was suicide, but the coroner had not yet confirmed the identity or the official cause and manner, and the investigation was ongoing. Other records list his death at the West Feliciana Parish Detention Center in St. Francisville, a different location from the one the sheriff's office gave.
