Died in jail or a lockup
Matthew Marchione
Matthew Marchione, 56, died at the Pinellas County Jail on December 3, 2025. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says he had a self-inflicted cut above his eye earlier that day and was taken to the hospital, and that after he returned to the jail he became unresponsive. The sheriff's Robbery/Homicide Unit is investigating, and the office says detectives have found no evidence of a physical altercation at the jail and that the death does not appear suspicious.
