Matthew Jacob Cintron
Matthew Jacob Cintron, 34, died on August 11, 2025, while held at the Downtown El Paso County Jail in El Paso, Texas. A detention officer found him in a cellblock with a lace around his neck, and he was taken to University Medical Center of El Paso, where he was pronounced dead that afternoon. The Texas Attorney General's Office custodial death report says the death is being investigated as a suicide and that no foul play is suspected.
