Matthew Himmelright
Matthew Himelright, 44, died on December 6, 2022, while held at SCI Huntingdon, a state prison in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, he was found unresponsive in his cell in the residential treatment unit early that morning and was taken to Penn Highlands Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:31 a.m. The Department of Corrections reports the manner of death as suicide, and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency lists it the same way. The Huntingdon County Coroner's Office is to determine the official cause of death, and Pennsylvania State Police were notified and will investigate.
