Matthew Henson
Matthew Henson, 45, was held at the South Idaho Correctional Institution and was taking part in a work-release program when he suffered a medical emergency on July 11, 2026. The Idaho Department of Correction said emergency medical crews and a Life Flight crew were called to his aid, but he was pronounced dead. OSHA is investigating the circumstances of his death, and the department says it will conduct its own serious incident review afterward. The department has not released details about his workplace or the events leading to his death.
