Matthew Coniglio
Matthew Coniglio, 46, died in his cell at the Chatham County jail in Savannah, Georgia, on April 20, 2014. The Sheriff's Office internal investigation, led by Cpl. Allen O'Berry, concluded that he hanged himself with a cord. That investigation also found that a guard did not perform scheduled cell checks that night and falsely recorded them. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation had not completed its own inquiry when the report was published.
