Matthew Chase
Matthew Chase, 53, was held in a cell at the Scottsdale city jail in Arizona. On the morning of April 18, 2019, jail staff saw him bleeding from the nose and called for assistance, according to Scottsdale police. Police said that before paramedics arrived he lost consciousness and fell, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital just before 7:30 a.m. Police say the death appears to be from a medical event, but the medical examiner's autopsy was not complete at the time of reporting.
