Matthew Alan Huggins
Matthew Alan Huggins, 40, was from Homewood, Alabama. He was taken to the Hoover Jail on a Saturday in June 2017, and on Monday evening, June 19, he was found unresponsive, alone in a holding cell, and pronounced dead minutes later. Hoover police said they did not suspect foul play or suicide, and the cause of his death remained unknown pending autopsy and toxicology results. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office investigated.
