Mathew Thomas Braun, 39, died on July 30, 2018, while held at the Fayette County Jail in Iowa, where he was awaiting trial. According to Fayette County Jail officials, staff found him unconscious in the shower and changing area on a Monday evening. Sheriff Marty Fisher said the death did not appear suspicious.
