Marshall Metz

Marshall Metz, 71, was held at the Western Correctional Institution, a Maryland state prison, when he died. His stepson, Jimmy Trout, a Frederick businessman, said Metz had been in failing health. Trout was told in an automated notification that Metz had been released from custody, which was wrong, and the state said afterward that it was revising its death-notification procedures.
