Mark Phipps

Mark Phipps, 65, died on November 18, 2020, while held at the Fremont Correctional Facility in Cañon City, Colorado. The Colorado Department of Corrections said he was not showing COVID-19 symptoms and that clinical staff had checked on him shortly before his death. Department spokesperson Annie Skinner said an autopsy would determine the official cause of death and whether the coronavirus was to blame. The cause of death had not been established at the time of reporting.
