Mark Dewayne Beekman, 48, died on August 30, 2014, at the Marion County Jail in Ocala, Florida, where he had been booked that afternoon. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said he began having medical problems during booking and was found dead in the jail's medical pod about an hour and a half later. The agency said the cause of death was unknown and remained under investigation pending an autopsy.
