Mariuce Brown
Maurice Brown died on September 3, 2026, at Wilcox State Prison in Georgia, where he was held in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections. The department said he was pronounced dead at the scene after a fight involving several people held in one dorm, and that it considered the fight gang-related. Nine others were injured, and the department said the prison was placed on lockdown. The department's Office of Professional Standards is reviewing the death, and the official cause has not yet been determined; his body was sent to the county coroner and the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
