Marcus Hawes
Marcus Hawes, a 31-year-old man from Oceanside, died on April 28, 2022, while held at West Valley Detention Center in San Bernardino County, California. He had been transferred there from San Diego Sheriff's custody earlier that day. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, he was found unresponsive, and sheriff's detectives opened an investigation into his death. The cause and manner of death have not been announced.
