Marcus Antwan Bell was 39 years old. Around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Tuscaloosa County Jail, and he was pronounced dead. The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office said there were no obvious signs of injury, and an outside violent crimes unit investigated while the cause awaited an autopsy.
