Marcos Torres-Diaz, 42, of Atlanta, was held at the DeKalb County jail, where he was housed in a COVID-19 quarantine unit. On Monday, July 13, 2020, he was found unresponsive and taken to DeKalb Medical Center. He died there on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said his death was an apparent suicide.
