Marco Siara Sanders
Marco S. Sanders, 41, was held at Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville, South Carolina, when he died on November 15, 2021. The South Carolina Department of Corrections said he was stabbed in a fight with other people held at the prison and died after being taken to a hospital. Two other people were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. The department and the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating, and the investigation includes an autopsy.
