Marcelino Ramos
Marcelino Ramos, 49, had been held at San Quentin State Prison for 27 years. A guard found him unresponsive in his cell in East Block on Monday, January 22, 2007, and he was declared dead in the prison infirmary shortly afterward. San Quentin spokesman Lt. Eric Messick said the cause of death was unclear and that his body showed no signs of trauma. Marin County Assistant Coroner Gary Tindel said Ramos had a history of heart problems.
