Marcel Hutton
Marcel Hutton, 35, died on December 21, 2025, while held at the Shelby County Jail at 201 Poplar in Memphis, Tennessee. According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, he was found unresponsive in his cell that Sunday evening, and deputies and a nurse began lifesaving measures until Memphis Fire Department personnel arrived; he was pronounced dead at 7:22 p.m. The sheriff's office has not released a cause of death, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said it had not been asked to investigate. Local reporting said his death was the 12th at the men's jail that year.
