Manuel Galindo Diaz
Manuel Galindo Diaz, 60, of Shasta Lake, died on September 6, 2024, in a sobering cell at the Shasta County Jail while he was being booked, according to KRCR. The Shasta County Coroner's Office said it was still determining the manner and cause of death. A county grand jury counted his death as the fourth in-custody death at the jail within nine months and opened an investigation into whether that rate was higher than average.
