Mamoudou Kaba
Mamoudou Kaba, a 24-year-old man, died on June 21, 2020, while held at the United States Penitentiary in Lompoc, California. He was found unresponsive that Sunday morning and was pronounced dead soon after by paramedics. Federal officials had not disclosed a cause of death, and they did not say whether COVID-19, which had broken out at the facility at the time, was a factor.
