Malik Hood
Malik Hood, 28, was held at Neuse Correctional Institution in Goldsboro, North Carolina, when he died on March 15, 2026. According to WITN, staff discovered him shortly after 4 a.m. and called EMS, but he was declared dead at the prison. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction said it does not suspect foul play, while the State Bureau of Investigation and the medical examiner's office are investigating. The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
