Malcolm Buckley
Malcolm Buckley, 27, was held at the Telford Unit, a Texas state prison in New Boston, when he died on September 25, 2023. Staff found him in his cell shortly after 2 p.m., according to news reports of the custodial death. An amended custodial death report later stated that a medical examiner determined he had been struck in the head and strangled. Another man held at the unit has been indicted for murder in connection with his death.
