Malachi Washington
Malachi Washington, 47, died on May 19, 2019, in his cell at the St. Louis Correctional Facility in St. Louis, Michigan. Gratiot County Prosecutor Keith Kushion said Malachi was stabbed with a sharpened nail clipper and strangled by his cellmate. Kushion said the two men had a dispute that appeared to be a misunderstanding before it escalated into an assault. The cellmate has been charged in Malachi's killing, according to the prosecutor's office.
