Lynn Turner
Lynn Turner, 42, was a former 911 operator. She was found dead in her cell at Metro State Prison in Georgia on August 30, 2010. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's State Medical Examiner's Office said she died from the toxic effects of the prescription drug propranolol and classified the death as a suicide. Her mother rejected that finding, saying Turner had a lot to live for, including her two children, who had visited her at the prison days before she died.
Cause of death, as reported: Died by suicide (disputed). The state medical examiner's office ruled it a suicide from propranolol toxicity, but her mother rejects that finding, saying she had too much to live for.
Reported by: Georgia Bureau of Investigation State Medical Examiner's Office (medical examiner or coroner); her mother.
