Luther Wade
Luther Wade, 26, of Springfield, died in February 2016 at Lebanon Correctional Institution, a state prison in southwest Ohio, where he was held. The Warren County Coroner's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol classified his death as a homicide from multiple blunt force trauma, and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to the prosecutor, Prosecutor David Fornshell, his cellmate struck him repeatedly in the head with a cinder block after luring him with a card trick while he was blindfolded, and Wade was found dead the next day. In December 2017 the cellmate pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, and no motive has been disclosed.
