Luntz

Luntz, a barber, had been held at the Kansas City work-house in Missouri and was released before dying on December 22, 1883. Authorities attributed the death to maltreatment and, after a brief investigation, arrested Patrick Murray, a guard at the work-house, who was charged with causing Luntz's death through mistreatment. The Caldwell Tribune reported these details in January 1884.
