Louis Morro
Louis Morro was held in the Siskiyou County jail at Yreka, California. In the early hours of August 20, 1895, a mob took the keys from the jail staff, entered the jail, took him from his cell and hanged him. The Austin Weekly Statesman reported that the jail staff gave up the keys to the mob rather than resisting it.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A mob took the keys from jail staff, took Louis Morro from his cell and hanged him.
